YARSI University Students Conduct KKN in Kelurahan Lagoa: Enhancing Food Quality for Stunted Toddlers to Prevent Stunting

As part of their Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) program in Kelurahan Lagoa, Koja, YARSI University students of group 8 focused on improving food quality for stunted toddlers as a measure to prevent stunting. The students conducted educational sessions for parents, teaching them about balanced diets rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and proteins to support toddler growth and development. These activities align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by promoting better nutrition for vulnerable children and enhancing community health.

The program emphasized the importance of proper nutrition during early childhood, offering practical guidance to parents on improving food quality at home. The event was a success with strong community involvement, as participants not only gained new knowledge but also found the information easy to understand and implement in their daily lives. This initiative led to positive changes in the health and nutrition of local toddlers. Through this KKN project, YARSI University students applied their academic knowledge while making meaningful contributions to the local community, demonstrating the university’s commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility.
