YARSI Successfully Holds P2EPBP2S to Meet 2024 International Quality Standards

On September 12, 2024, Universitas YARSI successfully hosted the Monitoring and Evaluation of the 2024 Study Program Development Assistance Program (P2EPBP2S), a significant event aimed at enhancing higher education quality in Indonesia. Universitas YARSI and other leading Indonesian universities, including the Indonesian Christian University, the University of Indonesia, and IPB University, attended the event.

The central focus of this event was the development of the Informatics Engineering study program at Universitas YARSI, which secured a prestigious grant from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa). The grant highlighted Belmawa’s trust in YARSI’s commitment to improving educational standards and pursuing international accreditation.

Dr. Wening Sari, Deputy Chancellor I of Universitas YARSI, expressed pride in the achievement and emphasized that this grant would not only improve the Informatics Engineering program but also encourage the university to innovate and compete on a global scale. The event featured insights from Prof. Ir. Leni Sophia Heliani, an International Accreditation Grant Verifier from Belmawa, who stressed the need for clear and practical curriculum design alongside full support from university faculty and management. Prof. Heliani expressed optimism for Indonesian universities, believing that with collaboration and government support, Indonesia could become a center for quality education in Southeast Asia.

The successful implementation of P2EPBP2S reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance Indonesia’s higher education quality. Moving forward, universities are encouraged to improve human resource capacity, foster industry partnerships, and ensure that curricula align with job market demands, paving the way for future success.
