On May 17, 2024, Yarsi University held an event titled “YARSI BERSAMA PALESTINA: Ungkapan Cinta untuk Palestina,” featuring the keynote speaker KH. Bachtiar Nasir, Lc., MM. During the session, KH. Bachtiar Nasir provided an in-depth discussion on the ongoing conflict in Palestine, highlighting critical issues such as the use of human shields and the destruction of hospitals. He emphasized the urgent need for financial support for Palestine as a religious duty and encouraged guests to actively engage in discussions about the topic.
This event aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, which aims to reduce violence and build inclusive, peaceful societies. Additionally, it supports SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by raising awareness and fostering support for marginalized groups such as Palestinian youth. Through this event, Yarsi University is committed to enhancing global awareness and encouraging meaningful action in support of Palestine, contributing to the achievement of these global goals.
