Universitas YARSI proudly participated in The 3rd WIMAYA, an international seminar and workshop hosted by FEB UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta on November 17-18, 2023. Held in a hybrid format, the event combined virtual and live sessions to facilitate the exchange of research findings and foster collaboration in the fields of economic development and sustainable business. Representing Universitas YARSI were four exceptional students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB): Siti Nurhaliza Masrurah, Poni Melati, Defni Nabila, and Harry Budiantoro. Their participation highlighted Universitas YARSI’s dedication to academic excellence and international engagement.
The seminar featured distinguished keynote speakers, including Dr. Paul Dung Gadi from Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi, Nigeria; Anurag Hazarika from Tezpur Central University, India; Dr. Gan Kia Hui from INTI International College Penang, Malaysia; and Dr. Ranu Jain from Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, India. Indonesian Minister of National Development Planning Suharso Monoarfa also joined the event, alongside opening remarks by Prof. Dr. M. Irhas Effendi, M.Si, Rector of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, and a special acknowledgment from Sri Sultan Hamengkubowono X, Governor of Yogyakarta.
Participants benefited from opportunities to publish their research in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), and Copernicus-indexed journals, as well as complimentary AIBPM membership and international accreditation points for institutional development. Universitas YARSI’s delegation engaged in insightful discussions with researchers and professionals worldwide, enhancing their global perspectives and expanding their academic networks.
The 3rd WIMAYA was held at Hotel Harper Malioboro, Yogyakarta, and supported by prominent organizations such as AIBPM and INTI International University & Colleges. This event demonstrated Universitas YARSI’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and equipping its students with the skills and experiences needed to thrive in a globalized academic environment.
