On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, Universitas YARSI successfully organized a free webinar titled “Youth Leadership and Sustainable Development,” open to all lecturers and staff. The event was part of the university’s commitment to advancing education, fostering international partnerships, and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The webinar featured an inspiring session led by Prof. Sumantra Ray, Founding Chair and Executive Director of the NNEdPro Global Institute at Cambridge University. Prof. Ray shared valuable insights on the importance of transferable skill development for academic and interdisciplinary leadership. Drawing on 15 years of transformational leadership experience across 10 regional networks spanning six continents, Prof. Ray highlighted the significant impact of the NNEdPro Global Institute, founded at Cambridge University in 2008.
Participants explored the development of the Global E-Academy and its Junior Ambassador program. This initiative has empowered youth leaders to make their voices heard on global stages, including the United Nations World Food Forum and Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The session emphasized how nurturing leadership and interdisciplinary skills can drive meaningful change in communities and beyond.
The event, conducted via Zoom, offered an invaluable opportunity for professional growth and global networking. Participants were awarded international certificates, underscoring the university’s commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
