In 2023, Universitas YARSI proudly marked its 56th anniversary, showcasing its continuous progress toward academic excellence and international recognition. This milestone highlights the university’s growing impact on higher education, not just in Indonesia but globally.
A significant achievement this year was the accreditation of the Faculty of Medicine’s undergraduate and professional programs, receiving an “A” rating from the Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes). This accreditation reinforces the university’s commitment to delivering top-tier education in the health sector.
Additionally, in April 2023, Prof. Dr. Fasli Jalal, Rector of Universitas YARSI, represented Indonesia as the sole speaker at the International Higher Education Conference (IHEC) in Sepang, Malaysia. His participation demonstrates the university’s expanding global presence.
Prof. Fasli also received an honorary professorship from Fujian Normal University in China, further solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in education. In another international collaboration, the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology was appointed as a Visiting Professor at Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management in India, contributing to research and teaching.
In December 2022, Universitas YARSI inaugurated its Integrated Legal Drafting Laboratory, with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights recognizing the university’s leadership in law education. The university was also selected to participate in a study tour to Japan, promoting international academic exchange.
Looking ahead, Universitas YARSI plans to launch new programs in pharmacy and biomedicine while focusing on expanding distance education. With substantial investments in technology, including the development of AI and metaverse capabilities, the university is preparing for a future of innovation and global engagement.
