Local start-up financial assistance
The YARSI University Lecturer Team has undertaken the task of providing education, mentoring, and facilitating the development of cooperative legal organizations in Seuat Jaya Village, Serang, Banten.
Professor Endang, an esteemed lecturer at YARSI University, undertook the task of providing instruction, mentorship, and facilitation for the registration of legal entities for village cooperatives, as well as the development of a web-based company profile and e-commerce platform in Seuat Jaya Village, located in the Serang regency of Banten province. The purpose of this endeavor was to assist in the growth and advancement of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within the local community. The funding for this work has been provided through a grant from the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency (Kemenristekdikti/BRIN). The funding was awarded to facilitate the advancement of entrepreneurship in Indonesia, encompassing the establishment and growth of local cooperatives.
During the educational session, Professor Endang imparted knowledge to the residents of Seuat Jaya Village regarding the significance of cooperatives as a collectively managed corporate entity. Furthermore, she provided a detailed explanation of the process of establishing a legally recognized entity for village cooperatives. During the mentorship initiative, Professor Endang assisted the people of Seuat Jaya Village in preparing essential documentation required for the foundation of a legal organization for the village cooperative. Additionally, she supported the community in facilitating the licensing process for developing village cooperatives at the appropriate administrative authorities.
During the facilitation activity, Professor Endang assisted the community of Seuat Jaya Village in developing a web-based corporate profile and e-commerce platform for the village cooperative. The utilization of web company profiles and e-commerce platforms will serve as a means to enhance the visibility and marketing of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) items within Seuat Jaya Village.

Lecturer Endang Purwaningsih, affiliated with YARSI University, undertook initiatives to enhance the capacity for innovation and competitive advantage in safeguarding and branding locally derived MSME products. These efforts targeted facilitating breakthroughs in exporting technological information for MSMEs in the Yogyakarta region. The purpose of the activity was to assist in the growth and advancement of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia.
The activity encompassed four distinct steps, which were as follows:
- Conducting an assessment of the potential of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) based on local wisdom. This study aims to assess the potential of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia founded on local wisdom. This potential encompasses several elements, such as products, people, resources, and markets.

This phase enhances the innovation and competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by leveraging local wisdom in developing their goods. This development encompasses enhancing the quality of products, including additional functions, and implementing more aesthetically appealing product designs.
- The creation and development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) rooted in local wisdom. This phase is conducted to establish a robust and appealing brand for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that is rooted in local wisdom. This includes selecting a distinctive and visually appealing brand name, tagline, and logo design.
- Formulating marketing strategies for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) rooted in local wisdom. This phase entails formulating marketing strategies for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) rooted in local wisdom to expand their presence in the international export market. The marketing strategy encompasses social media platforms, electronic commerce, and global promotional efforts.
This undertaking is anticipated to enhance the innovative capacities and competitive advantages of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) rooted in local wisdom. Therefore, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have the potential to enhance their export capabilities, thereby making a significant contribution to the overall economic growth of Indonesia.
