Lembaga Nasional Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia bekerja sama dengan Ikatan Ahli Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia (IAKMI) menjadi tuan rumah The 4th International Symposium on Health Research (ISHR) dan 14th National Congress of Indonesian Public Health Association (NC-IPHA) digelar pada tanggal 27-30 November 2019 di Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur, Bali.
Rektor Universitas YARSI, Prof. dr. Fasli Jalal, Ph.D. menjadi pembicara pada Simposium Internasional ke-4 tentang Penelitian Kesehatan dan sekaligus Kongres Nasional ke-14 IAKMI dengan materi ‘Improving Access to Life-Saving Innovations for Child Health’ (Meningkatkan Akses ke Inovasi yang Menyelamatkan Nyawa untuk Kesehatan Anak).
Selain Rektor, Koordinator Pengabdian Masyarakat Magister Sains Biomedis – Sekolah Pasca Sarjana UY, Dr. Kholis Ernawati, SSi, MKes. juga ambil bagian pada acara ini yaitu pada sessi Oral Presentation dengan tema Social Determinant of Health.
Kepala Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehataran, Kemenkes, dr. Siswanto, MHP., DTM, pada sambutannya mengatakan, politik adalah bagian penting dari pembangunan suatu negara, terutama dalam mengarahkan peran pemerintah menuju tata pemerintahan yang baik dan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang lebih besar termasuk dalam pembangunan kesehatan.
“Ada tiga aspek utama yang berkontribusi signifikan terhadap siklus politik dan kesehatan, seperti pembiayaan kesehatan, sumber daya kesehatan negara, promosi kesehatan dan pendekatan pencegahan,” kata dr. Siswanto.
Menurutnya, aspek-aspek tersebut penting sekali dalam pembangunan kesehatan dan perlu diimplementasikan pada konsep yang komprehensif dan berkelanjutan. Bukti kuat dari penelitian dan pengembangan yang efektif, serta berkualitas sangat penting untuk memungkinkan semua elemen negara bergerak menuju pada pembangunan kesehatan yang lebih efektif dan untuk memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang dimensi politik kebijakan kesehatan.
“Acara ini kami harapkan bisa membawa semua ilmuwan, peneliti, profesional serta pemimpin untuk berbagi pengetahuan dan pengalaman menuju bangsa yang sehat,” jelasnya.
Lembaga Nasional Litbangkes Kemenkes RI telah secara rutin melakukan simposium internasional pada tahun 2012, 2014, dan 2016, yang menghasilkan komitmen dan rekomendasi kebijakan para pemimpin kesehatan yang kuat terhadap pengembangan kesehatan masyarakat yang optimal di tingkat nasional dan global.
Kongres yang diikuti oleh 1000 anggota secara nasional merupakan acara kolaborasi yang bertujuan untuk memberikan bukti berbasis pada berbagai penelitian dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi kesehatan dalam mendukung pemangku kepentingan dan organisasi terkait untuk membangun sinergi yang lebih kuat antara politik dan kesehatan menuju nilai yang lebih tinggi dan prioritas dalam meningkatkan kesehatan untuk semua tanpa memandang perbedaan sosial ekonomi dan geografis dalam perspektif lokal, nasional dan global.
Peserta simposium yang mengusung tema ‘Bukti Ilmiah dan Politik dalam Pembangunan Kesehatan’ ini terdiri dari para profesional kesehatan masyarakat, pejabat pemerintah, politisi, akademisi, sektor swasta, lembaga internasional, advokat kesehatan dan organisasi terkait kesehatan lainnya atau individu dalam komunitas global.
Peserta juga berkesempatan mengikuti serangkaian acara yang digelar, yaitu mulai dari Sesi Pra-Simposium (pelatihan/lokakarya); Sesi Pleno; Simposium/Simposium Paralel; Presentasi Oral dan Poster Gratis; Forum Ilmiah Tahunan IPHA (FIT-5 IAKMI); Pertemuan Tahunan Asosiasi Sekolah Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia (AIPTKMI); Konferensi Indonesia tentang Tembakau atau Kesehatan (ICTOH ke-6); Kompetisi Peneliti Kesehatan Masyarakat Junior (JPHRC ke-4); dan hingga Pameran.
