As Universitas YARSI continues its journey toward internationalization, the university has actively engaged in collaborations with various global partners. Among these partnerships are those with Tianjin Education and the Mandarin Language Center of Al-Azhar University Indonesia. Recognizing the growing global importance of Mandarin, Universitas YARSI is expanding its focus beyond English to include other key languages like Mandarin to enhance its internationalization efforts.
To support these collaborations and strengthen its international outlook, the International Affairs Office of Universitas YARSI organized a Mandarin Language Training Program for Faculty Members and Administrative Staff. This program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of educators and staff, fostering positive interactions between university personnel and students, especially in preparation for academic exchanges with Tianjin University, which will send Chinese students to study at Universitas YARSI.
The training emphasizes the effective and efficient learning of Mandarin through a structured curriculum based on the HSK (International Mandarin Proficiency Test). The sessions are led by Li Minjia, a native Mandarin speaker and a graduate of the Master’s program in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL). Her extensive experience in preparing candidates for the HSK ensures high-quality instruction tailored to the needs of the participants.
