Lewat Program PkM, Universitas Yarsi Lakukan Pendampingan UKM Tikar Pandan

Krjogja.com – JAKARTA – Universitas Yarsi Jakarta melaksanakan pendampingan peningkatan penjualan usaha kecil menengah (UKM) pengrajin tikar pandan di Desa Kadumaneuh Pandeglang.

Kegiatan dilaksanakan Kamis (5/1/2023) lalu itu dalam rangka Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) diketuai Prof. DR. H. Nurul Huda, M.Si., M.M. beranggotakan Ariel Nian Gani, M.Phil., M.Sc., Muhammad Rofi’i, M.Sc., serta Dr. Sri Chusri Haryanti, S.T., M.T.

Pihak menjadi mitra PkM disini, pelaku UKM Pengrajin Tikar Pandan dipimpin Afud Mahpudin juga Kepala Desa Kadumaneuh, Kabupaten Pandeglang dalam siaran persnya, Selasa (31/1/2023)

Menurut Afud, kerajinan anyaman tikar pandan merupakan peninggalan nenek moyang turun temurun, sampai saat ini masih dikembangkan dan dilestarikan oleh warga, khususnya para ibu rumah tangga bisa menganyam tikar pandan.

“Di Desa Kadumaneuh mayoritas kaum ibunya mengerjakan anyaman tikar pandan hampir setiap hari,” ujar Afud.

Lebih lanjut Kepala Desa Kadumaneuh menyatakan, adanya pandemi Covid-19 sangat berdampak buruk bagi tingkat penjualan para pelaku usaha tikar pandan. Pandemi Covid-19 juga menimbulkan tantangan bagi pelaku usaha mikro kecil menengah (UMKM) seperti mencari calon pelanggan saat ini lebih banyak di rumah dan melakukan pemesanan secara daring.

Kepala Desa Kadumaneuh berusaha untuk mencari alternatif bisa membantu meningkatkan penjualan tikar para pelaku usaha tersebut. Sementara kondisi kini, pengrajin tikar pandan di Desa Kadumaneuh masih menjalankan bisnis sangat tradisional dan produk yang dihasilkan dijual skala lokal.

“Kami berterima kasih sebesar-besarnya kepada tim PkM Universitas Yarsi atas bantuan pendampingan dalam rangka peningkatan penjualan UKM pengrajin tikar pandan di Desa Kadumaneuh Pandeglang. Semoga Universitas Yarsi tetap bisa bekerjasama mendampingi para pelaku UKM Tikar Pandan sampai penjualan meningkat,” harap Afud

Sementara Prof Nurul menyatakan, terima kasih bisa diterima melakukan pendampingan di desa Kadumaneuh lewat kegiatan PkM.

Melihat situasi dan kondisi pengrajin tikar pandan, Universitas Yarsi melalui kegiatan PkM berkontribusi dalam bentuk pendampingan berupa pembuatan website berbasis wordpress, pembuatan e-commerce kerajinan tikar pandan dengan platform pembayaran mayar.id, dan pembuatan strategi bisnis yang sustainable.

Kemudian pembuatan rencana proses pemasaran digital, melakukan paid promote di sosial media dan google, membuat packaging yang baru, serta meminimalisir biaya produksi dengan melakukan lean production. Semoga semua kontribusi PkM Universitas Yarsi di desa Desa Kadumaneuh Pandeglang. (Ati)
