Friday, February 7, 2025 – The S3 Biomedical Study Program held a lecture session with the theme of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of the integration of biomedical science with the sustainable development agenda. This activity was attended by doctoral students and lecturers, who actively discussed the role of biomedicine in supporting the achievement of SDGs.
In this session, Prof. Dr. Fasli Jalal, Ph.D, as the Rector and presenter, gave a presentation on the 17 points of the SDGs, including goals, targets, and indicators of achievement. In addition, he also explained about the Voluntary National Review (VNR), the current achievements of the SDGs, and the role of the YARSI University SDGs Center in supporting the implementation of related programs.
Through this presentation, it is hoped that researchers can direct their research to be more relevant to global challenges, while contributing to the achievement of SDGs. This activity also emphasizes the importance of biomedical science integration in creating sustainable solutions to various health and environmental problems.
