Group 11 from the Faculty of Law at YARSI University carried out a Community Service Program (KKN) in the Rorotan Sub-district, Cilincing, North Jakarta. The situational analysis conducted by the group revealed that Rorotan faces challenges related to climate, economy, education, and public health that require attention and improvement efforts. Based on this assessment, Group 11 designed four main programs to address the local issues. These programs included: 1) Education on Maintaining Oral Health for Children, 2) Awareness Campaign on Child Abuse, 3) Education on Metabolic Diseases and Blood Glucose Testing for the Elderly, and 4) Smart Phone Usage Education for Parents.
The KKN activities in Rorotan were conducted over a period of three weeks, from November 6 to November 27, 2023. Overall, the programs were well-received and supported by the community and local government. The successful implementation of these initiatives led to improved health, education, and well-being in the area. The outcomes of the program align with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDGs 4 (Quality Education), demonstrating the effectiveness of the KKN activities in meeting these global targets.
