The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas YARSI successfully held an engaging guest lecture titled “Psychology and Culture: Cultural Experiences of Indian Expats in Indonesia” on Monday, March 20th, 2023. The event, conducted in Room 647 on the 6th floor of the YARSI Building, welcomed two esteemed speakers, Surabhi Konandur Ramakhrisna Kanti and Nikshepa Thippeswami, from Dayananda Sagar Institutions, India.
The lecture provided an in-depth exploration of the cultural dynamics and psychological experiences faced by Indian expatriates living in Indonesia. Surabhi Konandur shared valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of cultural adaptation, while Nikshepa Thippeswami offered an academic perspective on cross-cultural psychology and its impact on personal and professional development.
Running from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the session saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, fostering an interactive and thought-provoking discussion.
