In October 2024, the Master of Management (MM) Program at Yarsi University held two expert lecture sessions aimed at enhancing students’ understanding and knowledge of topics relevant to business and corporate governance. She discussed the theme “The Importance of Legal Entities and Legal Products in Corporate Governance,” providing a deep understanding of how the roles of legal entities and legal products are crucial in ensuring the sustainability and success of corporate governance. The second session took place on October 29, 2024, online via Zoom Meeting, with Prof. Dr. Suliyanto, SE., MM as the speaker, who presented on “Functional Management.” This lecture explored how management can be effectively applied across various functions within an organization to improve performance and operational efficiency.
Both expert lectures are closely related to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8: “Decent Work and Economic Growth,” which focuses on promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, and SDG 16: “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” which emphasizes the importance of strong institutions and transparency in corporate governance. The first lecture on legal entities and legal products supports SDG 16 by highlighting the significance of clear legal frameworks and the implementation of valid legal products in creating strong, accountable organizational structures. Meanwhile, the second lecture on functional management contributes to SDG 8 by providing students with insights into the application of effective management practices across various organizational functions, ultimately enhancing company efficiency and competitiveness, and fostering the creation of better and more sustainable employment opportunities.
