Universitas YARSI recently completed a successful Cultural Experience Service program, welcoming visiting faculty from the Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM), Bangalore, India. The program, organized by the International Affairs Office (KUI), aimed to provide an enriching cultural exchange and strengthen academic ties between the two institutions.
On March 9, 2023, the program commenced with a visit to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), where the participants explored Indonesia’s diverse cultural heritage. The guests enjoyed a tour of the Indonesian Archipelago Pavilion and took a gondola ride, offering a panoramic view of the park. The day’s activities allowed the visiting faculty to experience Indonesia’s unique traditions and scenic beauty.
The second day, March 10, 2023, featured a historical journey through Kota Tua Jakarta, a vibrant area known for its colonial-era architecture and cultural landmarks. The participants visited key attractions, including the Magic Art 3D Museum, Museum Bank Indonesia, and Museum Wayang. This immersive experience provided insights into Jakarta’s rich history and cultural evolution.
This initiative exemplifies Universitas YARSI’s commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding and creating meaningful academic partnerships. The two-day program not only strengthened the collaboration between Universitas YARSI and DSATM but also left a lasting impression on the visiting faculty, showcasing the beauty and cultural diversity of Indonesia.
The International Affairs Office extends its gratitude to all participants and stakeholders for their support in making this event a success.
