Jakarta, March 8, 2025 – As part of its commitment to gender equality and social empowerment, BEM KM YARSI University held a campaign on World Women’s Day. This activity is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in supporting gender equality and women’s empowerment in various aspects of life.
This campaign is carried out through digital platforms, including social media posts and educational content, which aims to raise awareness of the roles, struggles and achievements of women. This initiative is expected to inspire people, especially students, to better understand the importance of equality and support among women.
This activity supports several points in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely:
- SDG 5: Gender Equality
This campaign encourages equal opportunities for women and their active participation in various fields of life. - SDG 4: Quality Education
Increase awareness of women’s rights and access to inclusive education through discussion and education. - SDG 10: Reduce Inequalities
Promote gender inclusiveness as an effort to reduce social and economic inequality.
In addition, the campaign also delivered several messages that emphasized the importance of solidarity between women, where great women support other women to become greater. These messages were delivered by women representatives from various batches and faculties. This campaign is also the first step in creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all. It is hoped that this initiative can continue to inspire individuals and institutions to participate in supporting gender equality and women’s empowerment.
