Universitas YARSI continues to prioritize the development of well-rounded students through its Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program, exemplified by the “International Etiquette” training. This program aims to provide students with crucial knowledge and skills on international manners and etiquette, vital for success in both global business and professional settings.
Program Structure and Content:
The “International Etiquette” training was organized into two interactive sessions. The first session, held on July 5, 2023, focused on introducing students to the concepts of etiquette and manners, helping them understand their differences. The session featured videos and group discussions, where students explored the role of etiquette in building positive relationships and fostering successful international interactions.
The second session, which ran from July 6 to July 11, 2023, expanded on the initial concepts by diving deeper into various types of etiquette, including social, business, and dining etiquette. Students actively participated in role-playing activities where they practiced both good and poor etiquette, gaining a hands-on understanding of how their behavior influences professional outcomes. After each scenario, the group engaged in class discussions, reflecting on the implications of etiquette in career development.
Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
This program directly supports several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, SDG 4 (Quality Education) is reflected in the emphasis on providing students with valuable skills for global interaction. Additionally, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) are promoted through the cultivation of professional competence and a deeper understanding of international norms.
