On January 21, 2025, Universitas Negeri Jakarta hosted the Indonesian Games Competition for International Students: Cultural Explorers, a vibrant event aimed at introducing international students in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) to the cultural spirit of traditional Indonesian games.
Held at the Gedung Olahraga of Universitas Negeri Jakarta’s Campus B in East Jakarta, this cultural event brought together international students from various universities. The program featured exciting competitions and activities centered around traditional Indonesian games, fostering a sense of camaraderie and cross-cultural understanding among participants.
Representing Universitas YARSI was Samaa M.A. Alkafarna, an international student from Palestine. Her participation showcased Universitas YARSI’s commitment to promoting cultural exchange and engaging its international students in enriching cultural experiences.
The event was organized by Universitas Negeri Jakarta’s International Office, with the Head of the International Office as the primary speaker and coordinator. As part of its focus on cultural and artistic exchange, the program served as a platform for students to explore Indonesia’s rich heritage and traditions while connecting with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
