In commemoration of its 56th anniversary, Universitas YARSI, through the Office for International Affairs, successfully organized The Global Art Workshops, a cultural and artistic celebration that brought together participants to explore global art forms while improving their English conversation skills.
The event featured two inspiring workshops, both of which were met with enthusiasm and high participation.
On March 17, 2023, the Paper Quilling Workshop introduced participants to the intricate art of quilling. Guided by expert facilitators, attendees learned essential quilling techniques and crafted beautiful handmade designs to take home. With two sessions and a total of 20 participants, the workshop provided an engaging and interactive environment for creativity and cultural exchange.
On March 31, 2023, the vibrant Rangoli Workshop showcased the traditional art of creating intricate patterns with powders, rice, glitter, and flowers. Limited to 20 participants, the workshop was led by skilled tutors who guided attendees in creating colorful and unique Rangoli designs. The participants embraced the opportunity to immerse themselves in this cultural art form, and the results were truly stunning.
Both workshops were facilitated by Ms. Surabhi and Ms. Niki from Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology & Management, along with the Head and Staff of International Office from Universitas YARSI’s Office for International Affairs. Their expertise and dedication ensured a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved.
Participants expressed their appreciation for the hands-on learning opportunities, the chance to engage with diverse cultures, and the improvement in their English communication skills. The workshops also served as a platform for fostering friendships and building connections among attendees.
Universitas YARSI extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants and facilitators for making the Global Art Workshops a resounding success. The university looks forward to hosting more events that celebrate culture, creativity, and international collaboration in the future.
