Group 21 from the Faculty of Law at YARSI University has implemented a Community Service Program (KKN) with the theme “Prevention of Violence and Sexual Abuse Against Minors in West Pademangan Sub-district.” The primary objective of this program is to prevent and address cases of violence and sexual abuse against minors in the area, as well as to raise awareness and knowledge among the community about prevention measures. The activities were carried out over two months, from October 30, 2023, to December 30, 2023, in West Pademangan Sub-district, North Jakarta.
The program includes intensive socialization on the prevention of violence and sexual abuse against children. Through a comprehensive approach, these activities aim to expand the community’s understanding of various forms of violence and sexual abuse, as well as effective ways to prevent them. In addition, the program also provides educational materials and information that can be accessed by the community to support ongoing prevention efforts. It is expected that the outcome of this program will include a significant increase in the awareness and knowledge of the West Pademangan Sub-district community regarding these issues, as well as the strengthening of child protection mechanisms within the community.
Overall, this KKN program contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 on Good Health and Well-being, with a focus on child protection and violence prevention efforts. The program not only raises community awareness but also strengthens the community’s capacity to protect children from violence and sexual abuse.
