As part of their Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) program in Sukapura, YARSI University students of group 9 focused on addressing the issue of bullying among elementary school students. The students conducted educational sessions at SDN Sukapura 01, aimed at increasing awareness about the harmful effects of bullying, fostering empathy, and promoting respect among peers. These activities align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
The anti-bullying sessions provided students with a clear understanding of what bullying is, the impact it can have on both the victim and the perpetrator, and the importance of social responsibility in creating a positive school environment. By focusing on education and awareness, this initiative contributed to the mental and emotional well-being of the students, supporting a safer and more inclusive learning space.
The event was a success, with strong engagement from the students and positive feedback from the school community. The educational goals were effectively met, as the students of SDN Sukapura 01 demonstrated a greater understanding of the importance of kindness and respect in their interactions. This project not only empowered the students with knowledge but also promoted a culture of empathy and non-violence, reflecting YARSI University’s commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility.
